YOU NEED TO BE BORN AGAIN (SAVED)

If we say we have no sin,

 we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.

If we confess our sins,

he is faithful and just and will forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

1st John 1:8-9, see also: St. John 3:3 Romans 3:11-18 & 3:23, Hebrews 2:1-3   (New Testament, Hebrews explains God’s blood covenant).

When Moses had proclaimed every commandment of the law to all the people,

he took the blood of calves, together with water, scarlet wool and branches of hyssop,

and sprinkled the scroll and all the people. He said, “This is the blood of the covenant,

which God has commanded you to keep.”  In the same way, he sprinkled with the blood both the tabernacle and everything used in its ceremonies. 

In fact,

the law requires that nearly everything

be cleansed with blood,

and without the shedding of blood

there is no forgiveness.

Hebrews 9:19-22

(New Testament).

When Jesus had finished saying all these things, he said to his disciples,

"As you know, the Passover is two days away—

and the Son of Man will be handed over to be crucified"

(Mat. 16:1)

Just as man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment,

so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people;

and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation

to those who are waiting for him.

Hebrews 9:26-28

For God so loved the world

that he gave his only begotten Son,

that whosoever be believes in him

should not perish but have everlasting life.

St. John 3:16

Exodus 24:8 (Old Testatment: 1400 years before Jesus was born)

And Moses took the blood, and sprinkled [it] on the people,

and said,

Behold the blood of the covenant,

which the LORD hath made with you

concerning all these words.   

Finally, 1400 years later…at Passover 

And he (Jesus) took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave [it] to them,

saying, Drink ye all of it; For this is my blood of the new covenant,

which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

Matthew 26:27-28 (New Testament).
